Like him or not, Obama has already made a significant impact on US history for decades to come.

So let's turn this into one of those "Where were you on the day Kennedy was shot?" things.

Where were you and what were you doing at noon on January 20th, 2009?

I was sitting in my History class. Our teacher had us watch the inauguration and when it finally happened, you could actually hear cheers from my college campus all around. A moment to remember indeed. After his speech, our teacher had us write about the moment and save it telling us to "show it to our children's children" and such.

How about you guys?

Noon in DC, but it was at 11 am here. Yay Central time.

But me? I was at work...not really where I wanted to be to witness it, even though I didn't really have a choice, and our cable TV had been out at home all morning anyway (I'm told it mysteriously came back right before 11, though). But I was able to make it into my break time at that time, so I was back in the lounge watching it on our big-screen TV back there. My manager was back there watching it as well and even applauded after the oath, while I was on the other side of the room a bit misty-eyed, just as I had when the official word came down back on November 4th (hmm, can you tell who I'd voted for?).

That's about it, really. Nothing extra-special, to be honest. But I can still say that I was able to watch it nonetheless, for which I'm grateful.

Ironically sitting in History class as it popped on in the next room. We all watched it then. It was really nice.

Where was I at noon on January 20th?

I was at work, watching the inauguration with a bunch of co-workers. We got an antenna and hooked it to the television and watched it live. It was awesome.

in class learning about crime, as usual--although, we could kinda hear it from the other classrooms.

I was at work...sadly, being a huge call center we don't have a TV in the room, so I could not watch it. Plus my lunch break came later on afterward. Eh.

But I came home and watched it...I set it to record all day and I fast forwarded to the highlights.

i would have loved to have gone downtown, but I had to watch it from home...

It was still a beautiful event and I must say more comfortable then standing in the cold.

i was at work too. watching it, on an old TV with dials and a rabbit ears.

I was on my knees praying for America and from the way it looks, America needs it. Obama has proven himself to be the biggest idiot to ever exist. The man can't even use the bathroom without teleprompters telling him how to take care of business!
